  • Virtual vacation bible School

    Jenn Harrison, Liz Griffin, and Lynda Lind create the set for Knights of the Castle. 

  • Meals for the homeless

    CUMC provided meals for the homeless at the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center.

  • CHURCH GARDEN

    The S.W.E.A.T. team grows fresh vegetables in the church garden to supplement the food collected for the food pantry.

    The S.W.E.A.T. team held a monthly porch pick up food drive in May, June, July, and August.

  • From Pin ministry Dec. 23

    PiN Ministry would like to recognize Mary and Jim from Community UMC, Virginia Beach, who organized, collected, and help load enough non-perishable food items to provide supplemental meals for over 80 families and individuals currently housed in our Enhanced Non-Congregate Shelter Program. Each client will receive these items this afternoon.


    PiN Ministry is thankful for the generous and compassionate members of Community UMC who have come alongside to help fight for the most vulnerable in our community during these turbulent times. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you all are amazing!

    The Grainger family volunteered to man the Salvation Army kettle and ring the bells at the Kroger on Providence Road. Channel 13 News featured them on the evening news in a story on volunteerism.
